A Partnership for Health is an county wide initiative represented by Hunterdon Medical Center, the Hunterdon County Department of Health, and over 40 concerned community service providers.

The Partnership for Health's vision statement is that every individual of Hunterdon County has the state of optimal physical, mental, spiritual and social wellbeing which allows the individual to pursue the most fulfilling life possible, and not merely a life absent of disease or infirmity.

The state of New Jersey mandates that health departments develop a strategy for improving the health of the county residents. With the help of A Partnership for Health initiative, Hunterdon County has presented to the state its Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) to comply with the state mandate. After more than thirty community service providers evaluated the quality of health in Hunterdon County through wide-ranging data it was determined that Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco is one of the top five health concerns for Hunterdon County residents.
